After a year of ‘passenger princessing’ with my husband, André, on the golf course, I decided to trade the passenger seat for my own set of clubs. Naturally, that meant a golf wardrobe of my own, and finding golf clothes wasn't particularly difficult. Finding them made from natural materials? Well, that was another story. André had an easier time finding clothes to play in, but we shared the same frustration: we wanted clothing that not only looked good, felt good and performed on the course, but was healthy to wear and live in, too. None of what was available to us aligned with our conscious approach to what we wear on our skin and put into our bodies. We couldn't find what we were looking for, so we decided to create it ourselves. What started as a personal need became something bigger. We believe that empowering people means more than telling them to make better choices. It means giving them the opportunity to make those choices in the first place. We're concerned about the growing presence of plastic in our everyday lives, including what we wear and what we put on our skin. We believe natural materials deserve a much bigger place in both, and we'd rather be part of creating alternatives than simply wishing they existed. So, here we are. Two people making the clothing we wanted for ourselves, sharing it with others who might have been looking for the same thing, and hopefully inspiring a few more people to look twice at what's in their wardrobes. We're starting with golf. But if our own search has taught us anything, it's that this conversation doesn't end at the eighteenth hole.
